SolidWorks World to be Launch pad for VR4CAD in US

Virtalis is making SOLIDWORKS World, held this year between February 5th-8th in Los Angeles, its US launch pad for its new CAD-to-VR software, VR4CAD.

Virtalis has a presence on two booths during the three-day show, its own at #102, and its partner, Lenovo’s, at #401.  The Lenovo booth will feature VR4CAD accessed via an HTC Vive and the Virtalis booth will show VR4CAD on an Oculus Rift.  The Virtalis booth will also demonstrate Virtalis’ VR solutions for collaboration between sites via an ActiveMove display system.

Aimed at CAD engineers, VR4CAD has been designed as the “Gateway to Pro VR”.  Unlike games engine-based kits that require considerable know-how to make a VR application, VR4CAD is out-of-the-box VR software.  It works with an impressive list of CAD packages, including SOLIDWORKS, and the user chooses which one.

SOLIDWORKS World is the perfect event to demonstrate to 3D CAD users the power of VR in design review.
“SOLIDWORKS World is the perfect event to demonstrate to 3D CAD users the power of VR in design review.  VR4CAD makes VR very affordable.  Like its big brother, Visionary Render, which is used by major blue-chips like BAE, Raytheon and Rolls-Royce, VR4CAD speedily transforms SOLIDWORKS models into full 3D VR.  The majority of sales made so far have been to SOLIDWORKS users, so this event is perfect timing for Virtalis to launch VR4CAD to the US market.” - Global account manager for Virtalis, Keith Russell

Both booths will showcase just how quick and easy it is for users to view, investigate and annotate their VR-enabled 3D CAD models using PC-based HMDs or 3D screens.  At the UK launch in late 2016, industry experts were astounded at how easy it is to set up a virtual environment with VR4CAD on an HTC Vive using just three clicks.

Virtalis will also be giving visitors a chance to enter a prize draw to win a VR4CAD licence which has a standard annual price of $2,500 and a time-limited offer price of $1,250.
