The Opportunity

As a product owner at Virtalis you will work with our agile teams to design, build and deliver the software that makes this possible. You will play a key role in translating the organisation’s business requirements into production software and managing its delivery.

In this role, you will

  • Work closely with the product manager and software architect to help translate business goals and initiatives into prioritised backlog items
  • Represent the end user in backlog grooming sessions and ensure that complex features are appropriately scoped and broken down in the backlog
  • Monitor progress and understand when and how to intervene if required
  • Work with the scrum team to ensure that our development process is effectively delivering quality. software
  • Champion incremental improvement in processes and delivery and foster an environment that encourages all team members to contribute

What we are looking for

  • Previous experience as a product owner on large multi-faceted products
  • Experience working in agile teams (we use Scrum)
  • Excellent communication, presentation and leadership skills
  • A team player, able to develop and maintain constructive professional relationships with people from a range of disciplines
  • Meticulous approach to backlog prioritisation.  The ability to respond to new information quickly, balance conflicting priorities and make clear judgements
  • Pragmatism with your craft, understanding when to act on data, insight or instinct

Additionally, these are a plus

  • Experience with engineering and industrial manufacturing data formats (CAD, PLM, MES, etc).
  • Experience with or interest in VR, AR, game engines (e.g. Unity).
  • A background in software development
