Virtalis Holds Major Recruitment Drive
VIRTALIS, a global leader in Virtual Reality, is running its biggest recruitment drive in its 20 year history.
“We have very specific needs”, explained technical director, Andrew Connell. “We are recruiting software engineers on three levels: intern, recent graduates of software engineering or computer science and senior software engineers. All the jobs are based in our Sale offices near Manchester and all require a full understanding of C++ programming. Familiarity with 3D maths and/or physics is also essential.”
Internships are new to Virtalis and the company is contacting all the Northern universities offering relevant courses with an offer that could be a springboard to a fulfilling and exciting career in Virtual Reality.
Initial placements are either for university sandwich work placement, master’s degree projects, summer holidays or limited contract, full-time positions. The work undertaken would be flexible, depending on the skills of the student, and could overlap with university research/final year projects.
Virtalis is asking to see a portfolio of C++ code/projects from the students’ degree/dissertation work, together with examples of work undertaken through their own interests.
“For the senior posts, candidates will be expected to demonstrate both leadership skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines”, said David Cockburn-Price, Virtalis MD. “Salaries for these senior posts are extremely competitive. Virtalis is fortunate to have numerous, varied and challenging software projects either underway or just poised to begin and we are keen to recruit heads for these projects right now.”
For employment by Virtalis Ltd in the UK, candidates must be either an EU citizen or have lived in the EU for more than five years.
