Virtalis Boosts Development Team
Joel Barrett, 23, has just joined Virtalis’ Development Team following a degree in Computer Games Technology from the University of Abertay, Dundee.
Andrew Connell, technical director at the Manchester-based Virtual Reality (VR) company, said: “Joel’s skills were just what we were looking for in a junior member of the Team. 3D visualisation requires excellent maths and physics and Joel has these, plus a real willingness to learn about C++ coding. Working under his mentor, Joel has already experienced a flavour of what we do, with projects on our Helicopter Crew Reality System and visualisation of discrete event simulation. Virtalis is so busy that, for the last two years, we have had continual vacancies for both junior and senior positions within the Development Team.”
“I am looking forward to expanding my knowledge of computer graphics and learning from the experienced developers around me”, said Joel. “Virtalis is presenting me with an exciting opportunity to apply cutting-edge technology across a range of sectors, and the large number of varied projects on offer should ensure work is both fresh and interesting.
