Virtalis Turns Hobbies Into Careers
VIRTALIS has just recruited two young graduates direct from University for its world renowned Development Team. Over the last fifteen years, the Virtalis Dev Team has been responsible for many of the technological breakthroughs in Virtual Reality (VR). Both the new programmers have degrees in majoring in Computer Games and have each managed to transform their boyhood hobby into a career.
Jonathan Peplow, 24, has joined Virtalis from Liverpool John Moores University following a work placement at Sony. “I have been plunged in at the deep end and am working with the team developing Virtalis’ 3D landscape visualisation system, GeoVisionary”, he explained.
Jamie Femia, 21 has joined Virtalis from Salford University and still lives in the City. He commented: “I am being kept very busy adding new features to the Virtalis flagship high resolution 3D movie playback system, StereoServer, which works with our StereoWorks projection systems. My work will be able to be seen soon at our installation at the Kalamazoo Air Museum in the US.”
