The University of Northampton places £1.5 million order with Virtalis

NVision Centre will be based at Kingsley ParkTHE UNIVERSITY of Northampton has ordered a unique, five sided ActiveCube and two StereoWorks ActiveWalls from Virtalis.  The £1.5 million order represents half the value of the equipment for the University’s new, £8 million NVision Centre.  Grants for the prestigious facility have been secured in the form of matched funding from the East Midlands Development Agency and the European Regional Development Fund, with further financial support from Northamptonshire Enterprise Ltd.

CNH Modena 5VIRTALIS, one of the world’s leading Virtual Reality (VR) companies, has designed and installed an immersive visualisation suite at Case New Holland (CNH) in Modena, Italy.  This installation follows ones at Burr Ridge, near Chicago and New Holland, Pennsylvania.  CNH is a leading agricultural and construction equipment Company and part of the Fiat Group.   Virtalis has installed several projection and immersive systems at Elasis, the research organisation of the Fiat Group, over the past decade.

Prof. Roger Phillips and James Ward from the University of Hull and Prof. Andy Beavis of the Hull & East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust, the developers of Virtual Environment Radiotherapy Training (VERT), were happy to demonstrate it to Ben.
