GeoVisionary is new to the sphere of military training and is the world’s only 3D high speed, landscape model visualiser, making it perfect for virtual field reconnaissance and mission planning. Now, following its application in a large number of diverse applications around the world, the development team behind it has turned its attention to the military sector. Members of the military who have seen a preview have commented that they think the system will prove invaluable to mission planning.
GeoVisionary was specifically developed to allow high-resolution visualisation of complex spatial data. One of the design goals was to ensure that data sets for large regions, national to sub-continental, could be loaded simultaneously and at full resolution, while allowing real-time interaction with the data. The unique advantage GeoVisionary offers over any other landscape visualisation software is its ability to integrate very large volumes of data from multiple and varied sources, allowing a greater understanding of diverse spatial datasets.
