The first project involved production of a detailed VR model of 2 selected bays of the Middle Distillate HDS Portion of ICI’s SulFerox Plant.  The aims were to assess VR, not only as a complimentary technology to CAD and a means of replacing costly scale plant models but also to generate other benefits.

Rather than simply produce “another VR fly-through”, a shortlist of 6 “mini demonstrators” were specified for the final project review.
