David Cockburn-Price - Managing Director

David is the Virtalis Group's Managing Director and Finance Director. He read Medicine at Cambridge University with a second tripos in History of Art (well, variety is the spice of life!). He then trained to be a Chartered Accountant, qualifying with Touche Ross in Manchester before joining Coopers and Lybrand as an audit manager in its Liverpool office. After the merger with Price Waterhouse, David moved back to Manchester as a senior manager and headed up the firm’s Industrial and Building Products Business Advisory Services Group.

Over the years, David has worked with some of the biggest names in manufacturing in the North West and has co-ordinated a global approach for some of those clients, successfully juggling the differing demands of corporate teams on different continents.

David has recently been made a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.

He is married to Sarah with one son, Edward, and is particularly keen on good food and wine and has mastered the art of avoiding exercise (work/life balance not quite right!). His favourite artists are Masaccio, Gericault, Friedrich, Gorey and Sowa.
