Virtalis Technical Team Expands
THE BURGEONING technical team at VR and Advanced Visualisation Company, Virtalis, continues to expand and has just gained another two senior members.

Gary Ireland, 49 and Andy Holdroyd, 42, both have a wealth of programming experience courtesy of the games industry and have coincidentally worked together twice before in their careers.

Gary, who is married, lives on the moors near Darwen.  Appropriately for a Company known for its helicopter crew training simulators, he is learning to fly helicopters as a hobby.  His interest in aviation doesn’t stop there, as he formed part of the team that worked on the early Head Up Displays for the Tornado and has also helped Liverpool University upgrade its flight simulator.

Andy is also married and hales from Northwich.  Thanks to his background in gaming, graphics and rendering are his specialty and he is looking forward to applying these skills in a different sphere in the numerous Virtual Reality projects that the Virtalis Technical Team is working on at any one time.

Richard Davies, who heads up the Technical Team at Virtalis, commented: “We are delighted that Andy and Gary have joined us, particularly because, with projects on several continents, we are busier than we’ve ever been!  The experience that Gary and Andy bring to the team is highly valued.”
