VIRTALIS, best known for being Europe’s top Virtual Reality Company, has extended its rapid prototyping capability by becoming a reseller in the UK for EnvisionTEC’s Perfactory product range of 3D printers.

Tony Brown, EnvisionTEC spokesman, explained: ”Once people have designed a new product in CAD and then transformed it into a 3D virtual model, many then also want to inspect a physical prototype. In this respect there is great synergy between EnvisionTEC and Virtalis and there are many other qualities we share too, such as quality and technical innovation.”

EnvisionTEC’s products will enable Virtalis’ customers to rapidly convert their digital designs into accurate, detailed physical parts thanks to its unique Direct Light Projection (DLP) technology. This makes for great synergy between Virtalis and EnvisionTEC, as all Virtalis’ high end projectors are DLP too. The Perfactory3 Standard System produces the finest detail in the shortest period of time and costs from £40,000. The cost of ownership is low, because the systems are not based on expensive to replace laser technology and there are also very few moving parts as well as minimal consumable components. The System is capable of a build speed of 10-20 mm Z-height per hour.
