Motion tracking devices come in a range of products from a single sensor positional device to a full body capture rig in a large room.

A number of questions need to be addressed to select the correct tracker:

• How many sensors do I require?  This is dependent on how immersive your applicatrion is. Do you need full body tracking, head tracking or just a single sensor position.

• Where will I install the tracker? The location of the tracking device is important in determining whether you use an optical , magnetic or sonic tracker. Each has advantages and disadvantages that determine the suitability.
