British Geological Survey
Virtalis has two of its StereoWorks visualisation systems installed at British Geological Survey’s Keyworth HQ as well as its office in Edinburgh. The success of the first system was such that an almost identical one was installed at BGS Edinburgh. The twin systems enable geologists to explore their geological data in full stereo 3D.
The Defence Helicopter Flying School
The Defence Helicopter Flying School, at RAF Shawbury, SARTU (Search and Rescue Training Unit) at RAF Valley and their training service partner, FB Heliservices, are all long time exponents of Virtalis’s Helicopter Crew Reality (HCR) virtual training systems.
VIRTALIS worked closely with BAE SYSTEMS and the VEGA Group PLC (VEGA) to help create a package of First of Class training material for the Royal Navy’s new Type 45 Anti Air Warfare Destroyer.
AIRBUS in Broughton, Flintshire, recently took delivery of a complete Virtalis ActiveWorks VR suite. The system is being used to assist in the validation of methods and process improvements of composites manufacturing required for the new A350XWB aircraft.
Virtalis is proud to have two ActiveWorks systems installed in AMRC’s £10 million “Rolls-Royce Factory of the Future” in Sheffield.
